Open Chair Counseling is a Caledonia, MI based private practice dedicated to offering quality, trauma-informed mental health care and personal warmth to our community. Open Chair Counseling is excitedly searching for an additional 1099 contract clinician(s) to join our practice to serve the increased need for mental health care. This is an opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a growing practice.

This practice specializes in treatment for anxiety, depression, relationship issues, difficult life transitions, and trauma for children, teens, and adults. 

Our ideal candidates will have:

  • Fully Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) Fully Licensed Social Worker (LMSW) in state of Michigan

  • At least 2 years of psychotherapy experience

  • Ability to provide therapy sessions independently and competently

  • Obtain own liability insurance

  • NPI and CAQH registered

  • Personal computer and telephone for work use

  • Additional equipment required for working with your chosen population, techniques, and activities

Open Chair Counseling offers:

  • A competitive fee split

  • A flexible schedule/choice of clients, as well as in-person and/or hybrid telehealth clinical work (to serve our community and contribute to office culture, we would like someone who is willing to be in-office at least 2 days per week)

  • Electronic Medical Record that provides seamless HIPPA compliant telehealth, billing and documentation platforms

  • Billing and administrative support

  • Working with Open Chair Counseling clinicians who have a passion for high quality clinical care, a collaborative environment, and community involvement in local events and speaking opportunities

Preference to clinicians who:

  • Have specialized trauma training

  • Who are passionate about working with areas of: play therapy techniques, parenting, couple’s counseling, or other niche areas

  • Understand early childhood social emotional development, parent infant relationships and attachment

Job Type: Contract 1099

Pay: Varies based on insurance contracted rate and clinician cash-pay rate

Schedule: Create your own schedule, coordinate office sharing with other therapists

Work setting:

  • In-person

  • Hybrid in-person and telehealth
