Jordan Clement, Intern

Hi, I’m Jordan!

I am currently a student at Davenport University working to complete my Masters in Mental Health Counseling. I have had many experiences that have led me to where I am at today including the passion I hold for this field. I understand how draining it is to be at constant war with your mind and body. Everyone wants to not only feel heard but understood. You are the expert in your own life, understanding the uniqueness of you and your life is a high priority, and I am here to learn about you. This will build the foundation of our work together. Each individual is unique and has incredible strengths. My hope for our work together is that we can highlight your strengths to find peace in your mind, make progress towards your goals, and feel confident in the person you are becoming. My treatment approach is a strength-based and person-centered, utilizing components from cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused treatment, and motivational interviewing.

Much of my experience as an intern is working with those struggling with eating disorders, negative self image, body dysmorphia, and low self esteem. I also believe in the Health at Every Size® (HAES®) approach and that absolutely everyone deserves quality, kind, and compassionate care.

I look forward to meeting you and partnering with you on this journey!
